FCL-FR0059 Halogen-free phosphate ester flame retardants (CAS: 5945-33-5) are a class of environmentally friendly flame retardants that do not contain halogens such as bromine or chlorine. This product has low volatility, excellent hydrolysis stability and thermal stability. It can be used as a flame retardant plasticizer for engineering plastics such as PC/ABS and PPO/HIPS. Mechanism:
1. Coagulation phase flame retardant mechanism
-Decompose at high temperature to generate polyphosphate, and catalytic material dehydrate into carbon
-Form a dense expanded carbon layer to isolate oxygen, block heat transfer and inhibit the release of flammable gas
-Especially suitable for oxygen-containing polymer materials (such as PC, ABS, etc.)
2. Gaseous flame retardant mechanism
-Thermal decomposition produces PO · radicals
-Capture H· and OH· active free radicals in the combustion chain
-Interrupt the chain reaction of combustion
3. Synergies
When combined with nitrogen-containing compounds (such as melamine), a more stable P-N bond is generated, which enhances the carbonization effect and improves the flame retardant efficiency
