Tetrakis hydroxymethyl phosphonium sulfate is abbreviated as THPS, The CAS No. is 55566-30-8. Mechanism of action:

1, The molecular structural formula contains 4 -OH. As -OH is a charged polar group, these polar groups have a strong destructive effect on the cell wall, protein, nucleic acid and enzyme system of bacteria and other microorganisms, and can inhibit or kill harmful microorganisms at a certain concentration.

2,The -OH in Tetrakis hydroxymethyl phosphonium sulfate has a strong oxidizing ability, which has a strong destructive effect on some structures of microorganisms, especially on cell membranes. After oxidizing cell membranes, -OH will further oxidize and decompose a large number of enzymes in microorganisms, and REDOX the products of various spatial structures of bacteria and other microorganisms.
